Heart of Moray
Who we are
The NHS in Grampian and Moray, supported by Scotland’s Digital Health and Care Innovation Centre, are working with The Moray Leisure Centre and other partners, to deliver The Heart of Moray.
The Heart of Moray is a research project that aims to identify how, when NHS and community organisations work together, a new range of exciting services can be developed to help people improve their diet and lifestyle, that are convenient for everyone to access, that are enjoyable to use and help reduce the demand on traditional NHS services.
Heart of Moray
What we do
The Heart of Moray creates new ways to be a little more active and learn more about the food we eat, the lifestyle choices we make, helping everyone feel good, together.
It has been created as a result of consultation with citizens of Moray and local NHS services, to identify how services can be better organised to make it easier and more enjoyable for people to live healthier, more fulfilling and better-connected lives.
People told us they wanted local places to go to help manage their our own health and wellbeing that:
- welcomes everyone – even if you don’t have the latest sports wear
- has staff on hand to: help, guide and motivate
- has lots of great facilities kept in good condition
- everyone can feel good about themselves and meet others “like me”
